Q : How can I purchase BlueSoleil version 10?
A : Generally there are three options:
Option1: you could directly purchase BlueSoleil version 10 from our website www.bluesoleil.com
Option2: after you install BlueSoleil version 10, right click the Bluetooth icon at the right bottom corner of desktop->display classic view->help->buy
Option3: If BlueSoleil trial version reaches its limitation, it will pop up a dialog, please click "buy" in this dialog

Q : I have paid on-line some time ago but I haven’t received a serial number of BlueSoleil version 10, why?
A : There are 3 options:
- Firstly please check the spam basket of your mail box to see whether your mail server signet our email as "SPAM".
- After the purchase is done successfully, you could get a transaction ID marked in yellow in the confirmation webpage, please use that transaction ID to get the serial number by visiting the following link http://www.bluesoleil.com/support/index.asp?topic=findsn.
Please notice that this transaction ID is a seller transaction ID and you could use it to get the serial number from this system, after the purchase is done, you will receive a confirmation email from PAYPAL including another transaction ID that is a buyer transaction ID and you can not use the buyer transaction ID to get serial number from this system

Q : Why do I get the information 'Service discovery failed' in the toolbar?
A : Please check the following items:
- Verify whether the remote device is within the radio range.
- Verify whether the remote device is in connectable mode. If the remote device is set to non-connectable, other devices cannot connect to it, and service cannot be found.
- Check whether the remote device has connections already. Currently, some Bluetooth devices do not support multiple connections.
- Verify whether both sides have input the right Bluetooth passkey, generally before making a connection you need input the same number such as "1234" on both sides to pair them.

Q : Why does BlueSoleil display "This copy of BlueSoleil is not licensed and is not eligible to receive the full range of product support; BlueSoleil is running in evaluation mode now and data limitation" after I upgrade to version 10?
A : BlueSoleil version 10 needs serial number to activate and it is not free.
- Minor versions (1.1, 1.2 etc.) are free to registered customers because they contain only small functional improvements and defect fixes>>
- Major versions (7.0, 8.0 etc.) are chargeable because they represent significant upgrades in functionality that require investment of time, money and resources to design, develop, test, document and publish the new features. We will ensure that customers get value for money and a well-rounded new product for each major version.

Q : Why cannot I use BlueSoleil after startup with the icon grey?
A : There are 4 possibilities:
- You didn't insert a Bluetooth Adapter; please make sure you are using a dongle or CF card.
- Your dongle was not inserted properly, please un-plug it and then re-plug it to have a try.
- BlueSoleil was not installed properly. Please make sure that you didn't install the driver from Microsoft and reinstall BlueSoleil.
- Your OS doesn’t recognize your Bluetooth Adapter, neither does BlueSoleil. You can change another adapter and retry to make your PC recognize it first.

Q : Why does IVT support refuse to provide the warranty for 'its dongle'?
A : It's a prevalent confusion for users. Q : What is 'passkey'?
A : Bluetooth passkey is used in authentication procedure for Bluetooth security purpose. When remote device connects to your computer, he has to offer the same Bluetooth passkey as what you input such as "1234". If the Bluetooth passkeys from two sides are the same, connection can be set up. A paired relationship is established on both sides. There is no need to input passkey for the next time of connection. Either side can delete the paired relationship.
In addition, for those Bluetooth devices that don't have input configuration such as headset, you can only input the passkey which is a default on the computer side, you can generally find it on the cover of the package for your Bluetooth device or you can check the user manual of your Bluetooth device.

Q : Why is there so few services highlighted after refreshing service?
A : BlueSoleil can just find the services which your Bluetooth device supports and enables. None of Bluetooth devices will support all profiles.

Q : Why cannot I turn on Bluetooth on windows7?
A : This problem has been fixed in BlueSoleil version8.
If your bluesoleil version is lower than 8.0.376.0, please update your bluesoleil to version 8.0.376.0 or above.

Q : Why can't I find BlueSoleil icon in the task bar after installation on Windows 7.0 platform?
A : There is one option for you to have a try:
Right click the task bar->Properties->Customize->Bluetooth Application->show icon and notifications->ok->Refresh
