Terrible installation: goes immediately from "install" to "you have chosen to remove the program from your system." Never got a chance to install. Help screens and FAQa no help at all.

It said the same thing for me too but once the install started it proceeded to remove the old version of 6 that I had. It followed that up by the installation of 8.0.338.0. So far it works great. Did you have a bluetooth stack already installed? If so maybe it wanted to remove that first.

Actually, it wanted to remove version 8.0.338.0 that I was attempting to install.

It uninstalls the current version on your system and then you can install th latest version. Works that way for a lot of other programs I've seen too so its not just a bluesoleil thing.

O que vc quer perguntar? Porque eles só falam em inglês. Se você quiser tentar, tem um tradutor bem legal que é o babel fish do yahoo, http://br.babelfish.yahoo.com/
Esse tradutor até traduz páginas. Com essa ajuda fica um pouco mais fácil.

Just read the software upgrade policy - this sounds like a scam! You have to buy a serial number?????? to use their dongle. It is not a software upgrade if you have to buy a license - that's called a software purchase by any supplier!
Why is the upgrade presented as FREE when it is not and why was I not told this when the dongle was sold? I think BlueSoleil and the retailers are running a scam on the customers!!!!

it's OK if you don't want to upgrade to our latest version. Because we are always working on provide the most concise and easy-to-use bluetooth software to our all customers, so we want them can have a good experience with BlueSoleil;I applogies if it troubled you.
Only v6 users can free upgrade to v8, so if latest version is not required, you can still use the old version.

I bought a dongle which came with ver 2 - how was I supposed to know that it needed to be upgraded to ver 8?
If you buy a product you expect it to work without having to buy additional software.
The Support Team haven't replied so let's wait to see what they say. Alternatively BlueSoleil should provide ver 6 free - all I want is software to use my dongle - I don't want the latest version. Do you understand me?

i HAVE VER 6.X.X.X and upgrade is FREE. only new buyers need key.... all my upgrades have been without cost ..3 so far.

8 could fully compatible with v6, so please take it easy.
Or you can just keep your v6 install package in somewhere, then download 8 have a try.

You could uninstall the version 6 from the control panel first, then began to install 8.
Or you could first install 8, during this, it would tip you to uninstall the 6 version, just act as it guide.

I agree. Have the same problem. Software is junk, but then it matches the Andrea BT200 that came with it. Live and learn.
