I am excited to tell you about our new wireless conference, Bluetooth World.
In the past, the Bluetooth SIG held an annual meeting tailored to the interests of our member companies. This event served a valuable purpose but after seeing the incredible expansion of Bluetooth technology and solutions introduced during 2012, we felt this meeting did not provide an opportunity to showcase all the remarkable innovation taking place in the expanding Bluetooth ecosystem. We wanted to create an event—more of an industry happening—that allowed just about anyone to see the value Bluetooth wireless technology can bring to any product.
Enter Bluetooth World. This is the biggest wireless conference of its kind. This year’s event is being held in Shanghai on April 10-11.
We are opening up the first day of the conference to anyone interested in shaping the future of Bluetooth technology including current and prospective members, wireless entrepreneurs, media and analysts. Not only will attendees hear industry experts, including Robert Scoble, but will also experience interactive breakout sessions, networking opportunities and a showcase of the newest and coolest Bluetooth enabled products.
On day two, SIG members will hear from industry analysts, see the Bluetooth roadmap and strategy, attend industry-specific panel sessions and get even more hands-on Bluetooth training.
One of the things making Bluetooth World unique is our hands-on training sessions. We are offering several different tracks—including some in both English and Mandarin—ranging from technology basics to advanced Bluetooth technology training. Sessions range from interoperability to product and app development to vertical-specific product training. Attendees will walk away from Bluetooth World with a greater understanding of the technology and all the enablement they need to begin or continue bringing everyday objects into the “connected world”. And best of all, there’s no conference fee to attend Bluetooth World.
