[ Process of planning a kitchen remodel ]

Hi all! I am in the process of planning a kitchen remodel and trying to decide on a company to make custom cabinetry. I see that MaineCabinetCompany offers both modern and traditional styles. I am thinking: my kitchen would be better with clean lines, something modern, but I am not sure if it will be too cold. I also like the molding, but I am not sure how it will look with a modern style. Does anyone have experience with these companies? And what are your thoughts on quartz countertops for bathrooms? Please share more options or recommendations if anyone has done something similar.

I recently completed a kitchen renovation using custom cabinetry from https://mainecabinetcompany.com/ and I have some thoughts to share. When I started planning my kitchen, I also had a question about what style to choose, because with modern minimalism you can overdo it and the kitchen will end up too “cold”. I chose a combination of elements: clean, minimalist cabinets with wooden accents for warmth. This creates a harmonious balance between modern and cozy, without overloading the space. It is important not only how the kitchen will look, but also how it will work for you. For example, the kitchen should be functional, with the right distribution of space. Custom cabinets can be made that perfectly fit the size of your space and meet all your needs. As for moldings, I think this is more for a classic style, although, again, if the kitchen is large and there is room for such decoration, then moldings can add elegance. For smaller spaces, in my opinion, it is better to avoid them so as not to overload the space. By the way, I chose a quartz countertop for my kitchen, and it was a great decision. Quartz not only looks stylish, but is also much easier to maintain than marble, for example. Quartz countertops are resistant to stains and damage, which is a big advantage for the kitchen. This material is also ideal for the bathroom.

I have always wondered how best to combine modern style with classic elements. In fact, oddly enough, I think that moldings can add an interesting detail even to a minimalist kitchen if you choose their color and size correctly. For example, moldings in white or gray, thin and neat, can emphasize elegance without overloading the interior. Especially if the kitchen is done in light colors, they will add depth and coziness without creating a feeling of overload. As for countertops, I am also for quartz - its durability and maintenance really justify the choice, especially for bathrooms. I don’t know about others, but I use this material in the kitchen and am happy.
