[ BTC or XMR? ]

Hello everyone! I have been thinking for a long time about what to choose for investment: Bitcoin or Monero. It seems like Bitcoin is a classic, everyone knows that it is the "gold" of the cryptocurrency world, but Monero with its anonymity looks very interesting. I looked at the charts, but I can't figure out which of these cryptocurrencies is better for long-term and short-term investing. Can someone share their opinion, what are the pros and cons of each of them? Advantages, risks, prospects... it will be cool to hear the experience.

I can certainly try to break down the pros and cons of both cryptocurrencies a bit. According to https://bravenewcoin.com/insights/what-crypto-is-better-for-long-and-short-term-investing-btc-or-xmr, Bitcoin and Monero are two very different cryptocurrencies and may be suitable for different types of investors depending on what exactly they are looking for. Bitcoin is by far the most well-known cryptocurrency. It has been on the market for over 10 years and during this time has established itself as a stable asset that is increasingly perceived as a kind of "digital gold". Its main advantage is high liquidity, which makes Bitcoin ideal for short-term speculation and long-term investing. If you consider it a store of value, then Bitcoin looks attractive in the long term, since its supply is limited to 21 million coins, which protects against inflation. In terms of short-term investing, Bitcoin is quite volatile, especially when there are changes in the macroeconomics or regulatory news. However, despite all the jumps, it retains the trust of investors around the world, which makes it quite liquid and easy to trade. Many traders use it to make money on rate fluctuations, and this practice is quite justified. But, of course, such fluctuations are also a risk.

It's really cool that you've covered it in such detail. I'm thinking about starting to invest myself, but I haven't decided yet what exactly to start with. The problem is that I don't have much time to follow the crypto market, and Bitcoin seems like a more stable option to me, no matter how it sounds. But Monero shouldn't be discounted either - its anonymity could play a key role in the future.
