My role at the Bluetooth SIG is two-fold; reduce friction for developers and evangelize the Bluetooth® technology platform. I am constantly reading technology articles and hitting developer websites. I came across a couple of interesting articles I wanted to share with you.

The first is from Network World contributing author Craig Mathias.  Hewrote a blog about the virtues of Bluetooth Smart, and how it’s not the same as Classic Bluetooth from the audio world. The article reaffirms all the virtues and attributes I keep championing to developers. One of my favorite quotes is toward the end of the blog, “When we’re talking Internet of Things/M2M/the evolution of RFID/etc., BTLE really needs to be on the list.”

If you read this blog, you know I am passionate about appcessories. I am always looking at interesting trending data and I thought this report from IMS Research was very interesting. The report looks at the marketing for Bluetooth ICs and how the market is exploding. This is really a fun read.
