Illustrations for children’s books is a specialized field of work
and require a special skillset and mind set to work. There are many factors
which can affect the illustrations among one is the credibility of the book as
well as style. While an illustrator can illustrate more than single type of Children’s book illustration
styles, focusing on a single style can build their portfolio. Some types of children’s books for
illustrations include:
· Text book and creative workbooks: educational workbooks are a part
of children’s books which requires illustrations to define certain things to
the little learners.
Board books: these books contains word with images meant for
toddlers on the stage of speaking so they can learn new words with the help of
creative images. They are illustrated from start to end.
· Picture books: also meat for toddlers but in the age group of 3 to
5. It helps them to develop critical thinking and confidence to speak their
mind with the most interesting stories. Often it contains words up to 1000 in
counting providing vocabulary to the young learners.
