GP2 Add new friend Join Date:2014/5/18 Location: Japan Posts:1	Posted at 2014-05-19 18:44:31 [ SDK API Btsdk_SetSecurityMode ] I call Btsdk_SetSecurityMode. However return code is BTSDK_ER_FUNCTION_NOTSUPPORT. Does not SDK 2.1.5 have this function? Because BT device does not have PIN code, I want to connect it by non secure mode. BT device is not available SSP, too. Does the method not to request PIN code at pairing?

SDK 2.1.5 has Btsdk_SetSecurityMode function. But in early versions long ago, even though this function existed but it was not supported, so inside this function, the return value was set as BTSDK_ER_FUNCTION_NOTSUPPORT. After this function being supported, we are sorry that its return value was forgotten to modify to BTSDK_OK. So your BTSDK_ER_FUNCTION_NOTSUPPORT should equal to BTSDK_OK if your BlueSoleil software version is not very old.

We have corrected this error recently, and will add in to the next BlueSoleil version.

By the way, request PIN code or not when pairing devices depends on what device you pair:
If the device's bluetooth version is 2.1 and above, then you need to set security mode as
BTSDK_SECURITY_MEDIUM;
Other Bluetooth versions that prior to version 2.1, still requests PIN code no matter what security mode you set.

I need to get college essay writing help for my assignment. Latest version of SDK 2.1.5 has Btsdk_Set Security Mode has removed this function now.
